The first couple of weeks have been exciting here at BFPA! We started with staggered entry and it was great getting to know all the children on a personal level with the smaller classes. Here are a few pictures of the first few days of pre-K!
It has been a great start to the year! All the children are really settling into our routine and we have seen some great friendships develop. We have really been focusing on some strong social skill concepts that are supported with the "we Thinkers" social thinking concept. This includes; big problem versus small problems, keeping our bodies with the group, thinking thoughts and feeling feelings.
Along with social skills we have been practicing gross motor skills (running, walking backwards, galloping, throwing and catching, etc.), fine motor skills (ripping, gluing, colouring, playing with play dough and lego, etc.), and problem solving skills.

As always we strongly believe children learn best through fun and engaging purposeful play! Here are some pictures of the activities we have been busy with in the last half of September.
