My name is Mrs. Spence and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I love teaching and am very passionate about making learning fun and exciting for young learners. I am looking forward to having a wonderful school year!
*A little about myself*
I grew up on a family farm just outside of Athabasca, Alberta. I went to the University of Alberta for my teaching degree and I have been teaching for 9 years. One of my current goals is to get a diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language (I love learning!).
I live in Blackfalds with my husband, two children, two cats, and dog. We are a busy family that loves hockey, swimming, and camping. I love to read and discuss books. Some of my favourite things are: Stir Fry, Coffee, Lindt Dark Chocolates, Oilers, Purple, Owls, Reading and Walking.

I am so excited to be working my 21st year at PES and my 11th in Play Academy. I truly enjoy working with the playschool ages, playing and learning new things each year.
I live in Morningside with my husband and our 2 Boston Terriers Ollie and Lola. I enjoy camping and spending quality time with family. This summer I rode on a motorcycle with my husband for the first time and loved it! I am looking forward to more exciting road adventures!

I started working at PES in 1999 and have had so many rewarding years as an EA from Grades 1 and 2 to Kindergarten and Play Academy. Ponoka has been my home for most of my life, and this is where I met my husband Trent. We have two amazing children, Karlee and Ty, three cats, and we just got a puppy this summer. We live on an acreage just West of Ponoka. I enjoy camping, gardening, spending time with Family and Netflix! Looking forward to a new exciting year at PES and Play Academy.
